Fort Necessity is the unofficial start of the war. George Washington was the person who created Fort Necessity. It was a bad place to put the fort because it was like a bowl and all the water from the rain drained into the fort. That was bad because all of the gun powder was wet so they couldn't shoot. -

the plan was proposed by Ben Franklin. This plan wanted to have all the colonies jointogether to form one unionto become more powerful. A govenor would be chosen by a king. -
General Edward Braddock gets mortally wounded
General Braddock gets mortally wounded and later dies. He was burried under a road so that nobody would be able to find him. -
Fort Duquesne
General Braddock and his English and colonial forces got defeated by the french and Indians at Fort Duquesne. Fort Duquesne was very important because it is on the tip of three major rivers. The rivers provide travel for supplies to keep the war going. It is a French fort. -
General Montcalm Arrives
general Montcalm arrives in Quebec. he does not like the way that the French are fighting and he changes thier style of fighting -

The French capture Fort Oswego and take control of Lake Ontario. -
British take over
John Armstrong goes on a secret, surprise attack against the Indians. He attacked and destroyed their village. An explosion killed Captain Jacobs and his family. -

The French capture Fort William Henry. Fort William henry was on Lake George the fort was at the bottom of the lake. -

The British capture Fort Frontenac. This fort supplied all the French forts in the Ohio River Valley and further west with supplies. -

The Iroquois decide to ally with the British and help them defeat the French at Fort Niagara. Fort Niagra was controlled by the French. -
