  • Albany Congress

    Albany Congress
    This was a meeting to try and attempt two different goals. The first was to try to unite all the colonies as one large colony. This did not work; as most colonies did not want this. Also, they wanted to join forces with the Iroquois Indians and have them fight with them. This also failed.
  • Fort Nescessity

    Fort Nescessity
    George Washington's fort, made out of necessity, is overrun by French forces. The French wipe out the English forces and Washington and his men are forced to retreat.
  • Fort Duquesne

    Fort Duquesne
    General Braddock leads his English and Colonial forces into Fort Duquesne, but does not come out successful. The French hold the fort well and keep the English and Colonial forces away.
  • Lake George

    Lake George
    Sir William Johnson and Hendrick, also know by their Indian names as Warraghiyagey and Tiyanoga, defeated the French at Lake George. They did this without any aid from tthe English army. It was just the Iroquois and the Colonial army who defeated the Fench, and milestone for the colonies.
  • Start of War

    The British declared war on the French to gain more land in America. The French wanted the land because of the beaver pelts, which sold for a high price. They would gain lots of profits from the pelts.
  • Louisbourg Captured

    Louisbourg Captured
    General Amherst captures Louisbourg. This is an essential capture because it is at the mouth where all ships must enter to get to the Saint Lawrence River and to bring supplies to the French troops. It is a great spot to have.
  • Frontenac

    The English win the battle at Fort Frontenac. This seals off the Lakes from the French. This gives the English an upperhand on the French forces.
  • Fort Niagara

    Fort Niagara
    Sir William Johnson English soldiers and his Iroquois soldiers defeat the French at Fort Niagara. They shut of all connection to the Erie Lake with this win. The tide is starting to turn with this win.
  • Fort Quebec

    Fort Quebec
    The English win and capture the fort at Quebec. This is an extremely important win for the English because it shuts off all use of the Saint Lawrence River for the French. Now they cannot bring any supplies through the sea and the river to the French troops. Both generals, Wolfe for the English, and Montcalm for the French, are killed in the Plains of Abraham.
  • Montreal

    Montreal
    The English win the battle at Montreal. This is the unofficial end of the war. The French surrender to the English after this battle.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The French surrender to the English. They create a treaty, the Treaty of Paris, giving the English all of New France(Canada), The English are gaining control of America now and is becoming an even larger power.
