    Fort Necessity
    The unofficial start of the French and Indian War was when George Whashington built a small fort called Fort Necessity. The French found out and attacked it but when it started to rain it flooded the fort because it was on low gound causing them to surrender. SInce there gun powder got wet you cannot use it makeing them surrender.
  • Albany Plan of Union

    Ben Franklin came up with a plan to form the Albany Plan of Union to help the colonies become more powerful.
  • Lake George

    Lake George
    The first real attempt was made by the French against this fortress. In August of that year a large force of French and Indians, led by Montcalm, secured the surrender of the fort after a six day siege. The English were promised safe escape to Fort Edward, however, a bloody massacre happended and killed many.
  • Fort Oswego

    Fort Oswego
    General Montcalm and a 3,000-strong force of French regulars, militia and Indian allies, marched from Fort Carillon to the Oswego River. In this advance, the British withdrew their soldiers from Fort Ontario on and prepared to make a stand at Fort Oswego. On the following day, Montcalm opened fire on the British. French won this war.

    Where the British basically got massacred by the French after they surrendered.
  • Fort Duquesne

    Fort Duquesne
    French and England both were claiming land in the same territory such as Fort Duquesne. Fort Duquesne was said to be built in VIrginia and the land belonged to the English. But the French said they were here to stay and the French won by attacking Fort Necessity.

  • Battle of Quebec

    This battle was won by the British against the french and the turning point in the French and Indian War. As a result the british cut of all the needed supplies that the French needed to fight and or live.

    The Proclamation of 1763 divided where the Indians and the Colonists live. Indians to the west and Colonists to the east. Allow this was very difficult to inforce and all Colonists became getting unhappy with Britsh rule.

    When colonists decide to settle new lands in the west which is where the Indians live, the Indians decide to fight back in a 3 year war from 1763 to 1766.
