Battle at Jumonville Glen
A battle where George Washington and his crewmen went to a French camp and tried to learn their intentions. A mysterious shot was fired and there was a massive battle between both sides. The French lost to the English and till this day, nobody knows who fired that shot, although archaeologists are still trying. -

The Albany Congress
During this period of time, delegates met in Albany, New York to talk about the French and Indian War and propose an Albany Plan of Union, which was an attempt to create one general government for all of the thirteen colonies. -
Attack at Fort Necessity
George Washington had made a British Fort Necessity on the French Fort Duquesne, which is in modern day Pittsburgh. Washington had attacked the French to build his fort (which had been a partial success), but the French did a successful counterattack by surrounding Fort Necessity with 700 French and Indians. Washington knew he couldn't defeat the French and surrendered. -

Braddocks Defeat at Fort Duquesne
General Braddock and his British crew went on to attack Fort Duquesne. Half of his crew was wounded or shot, including his own horse. The British lost to the French during this battle.This battle was a complete disaster for the British and later on, General Forbes starts an expedition to do the same thing, and he was a little more successful. -

Massacre at Fort William Henry
The French captured a British fort with the help of the Indians, led by Montcalm. Montcalm and the other Indians started killing the British who chose to stay in the town, even though the French tried their best to stop it. -

Forbes Expedition
John Forbes was a British officer who led an expedition to defeat the French at Fort Duquesne. The French blew up the fort because their supply line from Montreal was cut and there was no real use for it. Forbes died little after the expedtion because of the debris, which had given him dysentry. -
Plains Of Abraham
Plains Of Abraham was a battle of the French and Indian War. General Wolf and the British went up to the plains of Abraham to capture the city of Quebec, which the French thought was impossible. The British climbed this steep cliff during the nights so no one can see them. The British surprise attacked them and beat the French in Quebec. Because of this the French surrendered Quebec to the British and Quebec became an English colony. -
Surrender of Vandreuil
General Amherst and the British went to Montreal and completely surrounded the city. At the time, Marquis Vaudreuil was the governor of New France. The French knew they couldn't win this battle and were force to surrender Montreal and the Northern French territories. While surrendering, he negotiated a deal that stated that freedom was given to any French that wished to stay there. -
Treaty of Paris
This contract was signed by Britan and France to put a conclusion onto te French and Indian War, basically declaring Britian the winner. All French territories in North America including Louisiana and Quebec. However, this is what most people know about the treaty. Surprisingly, Spain and Portugal also signed it. It is a little known fact that Florida went to Britain because of this treaty and many Central American colonies and Caribbean colonies went to Britain. -

Pontaic Rebellion
This was a rebellion led by Pontiac, also known as Pontiac's War. Pontiac was an Native American tribe leader who was against the British. Him and his followers started attacking British forts throughout the Ohio country, starting with Fort Detorit. Another major fort taken over by Pontiac during this time was Fort Pitt in Pennslyvannia. This ended in a very diplomatic fashion, with Pontiac going to New York and forming a treaty, which both parties signed. There wasn't an official surrender.
