- After an initial skirmish the 700 british troops then moved on to this town.
- One of the battles that made the start of the war.
- John parker and 70 minutemen were waiting but britsh over powered the minutemen.

Concord
- One of the battles recognized as the begining of the revolutionary war.
- ("shot heard around the world") about the 1st shots of the revolution in Ralph Waldo Emersons poem. -About 700 British Army regulars were given secret orders to capture and destroy military supplies that were reportedly stored by the Massachusetts militia at Concord.

-Established continental army with George Washington as the commander.

Bunker hill
-involved Patriots fortifying 2 hills over looking Boston harbor.

Ft.Ticonderoga
-The 1777 Siege of Fort Ticonderoga occurred between 2 and 6 July 1777 at Fort Ticonderoga.
-8,000-man army occupied high ground above the fort, and nearly surrounded the defences.
- Ticonderoga was widely believed to be virtually impenetrable. -
