The Arrest of Lenny Bruce
On the night of October 4, 1961, police arrested Lenny Bruce on stage for dirty language and bits that were thought to be too obscene. Bob Dylan and Woody Allen were a few names who protested his arrest. He was eventually given a Governors pardon after his death. -
George Carlin arrested with Lenny Bruce
On the night of Lenny Bruce's arrest, a young comic named George Carlin was hauled off too jail. He told the authorities he told the authorities he fully supported Lenny Bruce and that he didn't believe in ID cards. They didn't believe in not keeping him in handcuffs either. -
Seven dirty words
On the afternoon of October 30, John Douglas, a member of “Morality in Media,” heard a broadcast of George Carlin’s “Seven Dirty Words” with his son in the car. Douglas filed a complaint after his young son heard the words sh*t, piss, f*ck, c*nt, c**ksucker, motherf*cker, and tits. Jim Morrison
Much like the other performers on this timeline, Jim Morrison was arrested on stage. They got him for cursing and allegedly flashing the crowd but there wasn't any evidence of it happening. He was finally pardoned of this in 2010 long after his death. source -

On this night Wendy O. Williams covered all her naughty bits up on stage. The frontwoman for the punk rock band the Plasmatics was arrested on the Cleveland stage for it. source -
Two Live Crew
Police wire tapped the shows of Two Live Crew and after the show ended, Luther Campbell and Christopher Wongwon were arrested. The case was eventually thrown out because the lyrics were too muffled to hear. This was another case where they were afraid children would find these lyrics and have their head explode. It was the third and final installment of the contest after a couple was arrested for allegedly having anal sex in the vestibule of St. Patrick's Cathedral. The show was cancelled the next day. The show came back in 2005 and the two were almost fired a month after XM hired them. -
Max Hardcore is a free man
