Chapter 1
The author introduced us to Kevin and Max. -
Chapter 2
Max is outside and sees Kevin and Fair Gwen moving into their house next door. -
Chapter 3
Max sees Kevin trying to get his toy out of the tree in Kevin's back yard so Max goes and helps him, Then Kevin goes over to Max's -
Chapter 4
When Kevin was at Max's they talked about themselves and things they knew, and then Fair Gwen came over and saw Max, put Kevin in the wagon and ran home. -
Chapter 5
Fair Gwen calls Gram and Grim to tell them that she wantts to invite Max over for dinner. Max goes over to Kevins for dinner and Fair Gwen apologizes for what she did earlier that day -
Chapter 6
On the 4th of July Kevin and Max go to the fireworks and get chased by Blade and his gang but end up getting away. -
Chapter 7
Blade and his gang come back after the fireworks and chase Kevin and Max into the pond, Freak sees a police car and makes a loud noise so they shine the light on them and get the police involved. -
Chapter 8
Max and Kevin get a police escort home, Gram and Grim were treating him like they never have before and Grim called Max "Son" for the first time ever. -
Chapter 9
Freak and Max go on an adventure to the Medical Research building in the hospital, where Freak says hes getting bionic body parts. -
Chapter 10
Freak tells Max to meet him under his window at 3 a.m. so they can go on a "Mission" to find "Treausure". The "Treasure" is Loretta Lee's purse in the sewer drain -
Chapter 11
Freak and Max go to bring Loretta Lee her purse the next day. Loretta and Iggy Lee say Max looks familiar, then realize he's Killer Kane's son. -
Chapter 12
Kevin and Max go to the school. Its their first day of 8th grade and they both get sent to the principals office. -
Chapter 13
Kevin and Max have a bad Friday the 13th. Kevin chokes on food at lunch and then Max has to go to the counselor's office. -
Chapter 14
In the counselor's office Max finds out that his dad is up for parol. -
Chapter 15
On Christmas Eve Kevin, Max, Fair Gwen, Grim, and Gram all spent time together. -
Chapter 16
When Max was sleeping on Christmas Eve Killer Kane snuck into the down under where Max sleeps and kidnapped him. -
Chapter 17
Killer Kane took Max to a house where the lady that lived there was on vacation, in the morning the cops came by and Killer Kane almost got caught. -
Chapter 19
Killer Kane is hiding Max in a bulilding that was burned down. Loretta Lee tries to help but Killer Kane sees her and starts to choke her. -
Chapter 20
Killer Kane tries to kill Max and Loretta but freak goes in and shoots Killer Kane in the eyes with what he said was "acid" from a science kit he got for Christmas. Then the cops get invloved. -
Chapter 22
Freak has a seziure at his Birthday party and has to go to the hospital. -
Chapter 23
Max goes to see Kevin in the hospital and he says he's going to be getting his robot body soon, Kevin gives Max a book to write thier adventures in. -
Chapter 24
Kevin dies. -
Chapter 25
Max starts school again.
