There were also people who didn't agree on a constitutional monarchy and wanted more change, such as sans-culottes, or less changes to the Old Régime so they split into factions. -

The Royal Family was emprisioned by 20 thousand people in order to provoke the Prusians who threatened to destroy Paris if they harmed the king or queen. -

Jean-Paul Marat, a journalist, ordered all the prisioners to be executed since they might've been Prussians soldeirs wanting to destroy Paris. -

Georges Danton, a Jacobin lawyer, declared King Louis XVI as a citizen or prisoner. -

More Countries Join the War
The Jacobin leaders encouraged people to join the army and fight Spain, Holland, Great Britan, Prussia, and Austria, therefore their armey grew from 300 thousand people to 800 thousand people. -
Robespierre Becomes Dictator
Maximilen Robespierre gains military power and becomes dictator. He starts beheading anyone who commits a crime and creates the "Reign of Terror". -
Robespierre is Beheaded
Members of the National Convention sent Robespierre to the guillotine to end his Reign of Terror. -
Napoleon Bonaparte Declared French Commander
The National Convention decides to make Napoleon Bonaparte the new commander of their armies.
