The Tuscora join the Iriquois Confederacy. After they joined, the group was renamed the Six Nations. -

The two groups, the French and the British, grew more hatred toward eachother. The britains built a fort called Pickawillany, then the French attacked the fort and drove them out. -

Govenor Robert Dinwiddie of Virginia sent a surveyor named George Washington into Ohio. At this time he was 21 years old. His mission was to tell the French that they were trespassing on land that Great Britain claimed. He was to demand that they leave. -
