Proclamation of 1763
This line was made to split the two colonist, Spanish and English, so that there wouldn't be a waar for the Ohio Valley region. The cause was that the English was in debt and they couldnt pay for another war. The effect was that they moved west. -
Stamp Act
The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. The cause was the British needed money because they were going into debt. After that the Colonistboycoted the British goods. -
Townshend Act
The Townshend Acts used all the money collected for important goods to pay the British soldiers.The act also caused a tax for glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. Britain still taxed the colonists, so the colonists then boycotted British goods again. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act wasn't suppose to raise revenu to the American colonies, but impose on no new taxes. The Tea was help transporte by another Company to the other colonies for reasonable prices. The cause was that the British needed to pay off their debt. The effect was that the Sons of Liberty and other groups dressed as indians and dump tea into the Boston harbor. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonist dump a million dollars worth of tea in the Boston Harbor. The reason why the Sons of Liberty dumped the tea because of the British oppression. After the dumping the port was closed and penalties inflicted harder. -
1st Continental Congress
This helped draft the Articles of Associations on the @0th of October. The cause was that the Stamp Act Congress, had a negative responce on the Stamp Act Taxes. The effect was that the Decleration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. -
Battle Of Lexington and Concord
This was the first military war of the American Revolutionasry. The cause was that colonist were angered on how the British treated them so the met in the 1st contintal congress, and discussed there plans on the Declaration of Colonial Rights. The effect as that the two battles helped colied colonist against King Gorge the III. -

The Articles of Confederation and Congress became known as the American delegates asked George III to try a peaceful resolution and declared their loyalty, the small state end up wining.. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
MAjor war of the American Revolution. While the British had help from their leader General Willaim Howe. When the British won they tried to take over Boston because of the valuable sea ports. Even though the British won, they had to pay off alot of things due to the fact that they lost men. -

First major battle won by Washington.Since they were pushed out of New York and onto the Deleware west bank . George washington's Army caued the Battle of Trenton and Princeton to evacuate New Jersey. -

The Seperation from the northen and southern colonies by the British caused the American to win. The effect of that was led to the French signing an Allince contract with the Americans to help them during wars. -

The articles of confederation supported the move to compensate soldiers, and allowed all the states to form a supportive fronts to help deal with other powers. They're decreasemnets were that congress did not have the power to collect the taxes for the government. in 1781, it was rattified. -

Shay's rebellion is based on the fact the farmers were getting taxed, and they could pay off their debts. Due to the fact that this was after their freedom from great britian , America started taxing their own. Thsi showed that the Articles of Confederation was a weak document. -

The Constitutional Convection was smade to address problems from the central government, based under the Article of Confederatiom. The purpose for the Convetion was to fix problem of the colonies, but Washington didn't sign based on all the responsabality he would have had to have. -

The Great Compromise was when bicameral house started to come, which mean there was a house for sentae and a house for the ouse of representatives. The great Compromise was made up of LArger and amaller states. Also known as the Connecticut Compromise. -
3/5ths Compromise
The 3/5thsd Compromise was when the slave counts were changed on how they were viewd in the Southern areas. The Southerner tried to make them count blacks as white, but the farmers of the Constitution didn't see it as a benefit.
