Poland
Poland is a country that has undergone many revolutions, conquerings, and reunifications. The Kingdom of Poland was founded in 1025. Its early history included conflict and resolution with Lithuania. The nation would later play a very important role in the World Wars of the 20th century. -

Spain
The land on the Iberian peninsula had always been a spot of conflict. Christians fought Muslims on the Moors for centuries. After the Christians had defeated the Muslims, the Spanish sent explorers to the new world in th 15th century. In 1512, the Spanish officially unified and became the most powerful kingdom of the 16th century. -

The Netherlands
The Netherlands, or Holland, which is home to the Dutch, has been settled by people for thousands of years. Remains of Neanderthals have been discovered in the North of Holland that are around 250,000 years old. Holland was home to many different Germanic tribes, and unified late in th 16th century. -
The United States of America
The United States started as a collection of European colonies, primarily under the control of the British. Some other countries that held land in what is now the U.S. include Holland, Spain, and France. Following the Seven Years War (AKA The French and Indian War), relations with the English Crown began to seperate. The United States became a sovereign nation followin a war with Britain that started in 1776. -
Belgium
One of the smaller European nations, Belgium is mad up of a bunch of different cultures. It has mixes of Dutch, French, German, Celtic, and Austrian. It was, like most nations, once part of the Roman Empire. More recently, it was a part of the Netherlands. After numerous revolutions, Belgium became a sovereign nation in 1830. -
Italy
The nation of Italy has long been a center for culture, economics, and wealth. It was once the hub of the Roman Empire and would later be the center of the European Renaissance. The city states of Milan, Florence, Venice, and Rome were all individual nations that were often at war with each other. The city states officially unified in 1861 to become the nation of Italy. -
Germany
The nation of Germany has been known as many different things throughout history. It has always been inhabited by Germanic people, who were dubbed Barbarians by the Romans. Following the collapse of Rome, the land around Germany become the hub of the Holy Roman Empire. The nation underwent official unification in 1871 with Otto Von Bismark. It was split after WWII and reunified in the 1990's following the collapse of the Soviet Union. -
England
The island of Britain has been inhabited by humans for thousands of years. It was conquered by the Romans in the early Common Era. It was home to the Anglo-Saxons, including the Celtics, Gealics, and Welsh. The kingdom of England unified at somepoint in the 10th century, and became a force following the Norman invasion in 1066. -
Portugal
Portugal is one of Europe's longest lasting nations. The nation's location on the edge of the Iberian Peninsula has made it an epicenter for trade, commerce, culture, and wealth for hundreds of years. The Portugeuse joined the Spanish in 15th and 16th century and were a powerhouse in the age of exploration. -
France
The Kingdom of France was officially recognized in 843 AD after the treaty of Verdun. France has been a world power ever since its inception. The French were a force in the middle ages, the enlightenment, age of exploration, renaissance, and Nepoleonic era. They revolted against the monarchy in the late 18th century and became an empire shortly after. Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, France's size and structure morphed into what it is today. -
