It is one of the biggest corporation in the world for footwear, apparel, accessories, etc. HQ in Beaverton, Oregon and in Portland, Oregon. Founded as Blue RIbbon Sports by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. Then became Nike in 1971. They own Jordan, Air Force 1, FOamposites, etc. -
Bobby Kennedy Assassination
Robert Kennedy, the brother of JFK. Killed in LA during the campaign season for the election for the U.S President, Shot in the Ambassador Hotel and died in the Good Samaritan Hospital. -
Moon Landing
It was a rece between the U.S and Soviet Union. It was called the Apollo 11. There were several umanned missions, but this was the first manned mission, The crew with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. -
The Watergate Scandal
It involved the U.S Congress and President Richard Nixon. It resulted in the indictment of 69 people, 48 guilty, and Nixon resigned and was given a pass for prison becasue his VP, Gerald Ford, became President. -
Hurricane Carmen
Most intesne tropical hurricane of that season. Emerged from Africa and devestated the Carribean. Entered the Guld of Mexico and stuck New Orleans. It dissipated over Texas on Septerber 10, 1974. Killed 8 people and $162 million in damages. -
John Lennon
He was a memeber of The Beatles. Known for political activism. Shot by Mark David Chapman in the archway of the building in which he lived in New York City. He was pronounced DOA in the hospital at 40 years old.
