    This was a war between South Korea and communist North Korea. Americans helped South Korea by joining the war to help contain the spread of communism that they were afraid of. Later American officials worked hard and succeded in making peace with North Korea.
    This relates to key concept 8.1 because the U.S wanted to contain communism so they sent in troops for military engagements.

    During the civil rights movements, the KKK did things like bomb black schools and black churches. The KKK also uses violence not only on the black activists but also the white activists in the South.

    This was really for social justice to be formed for blacks. This Civil Rights Movement was a way to fight for and earn equal rights under the law as Americans. This Movement didn't only last for a day but for many years.

    The Vietnam War was a war fought between North and South Vietnam. In this war, the United States was allied with South Vietnam because they were afraid of the spread of communism from the North. Although in America even after President Nixon ordered the U.S. forces to come back in 1973 resistance to the war still divided Americans.

    This was a civil rights protest. This protest lasted for about 15 days. But 4 days before this protest Rosa Parks was arrested for just not getting up off her seat for a white guy. Then finally, the U.S. Supreme Court made Montgomery desegregate the buses.

    This was nine African American students which were supposed to go to Little Rock Central High School but the Governor sent the Arkansas National Guard to block those students from entering the school.
    This connects with key concept 8.2 because the government used ways of desegregation like Brown v. Board of Education which was tested in this because it was a ruling that said segregation in public schools is unconstitutional.

    This group were student protesters and activists that wanted change. This group became a more apparent movement mainly because of the civil rights movement, Vietnamese War and their opposition to it.
    This relates to the key concept 8.3 because the Hippies were Hippies not only to upset their strict parents but because they wanted to show that they rejected many social, economic and political issues. They also inspired changes to homogeneous societies.

They organized armed citizen patrols of many cities and had almost 2000 members. But they got disbanded because of their personal problems and massive shootouts.

    This is when astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the moon and Armstrong became the first to walk on the moon. Although the Moon Landing happened because of the Space Race the competition with Russia during the Cold War.
    This relates to key concept 8.1 because America was concerned by the communist ideology and Soviet repression.

    This occurred just because an American Ping Pong player Cowan missed his bus and took the Chinese bus where he talked to Zhedong through an interpreter. After a while, the American Table Tennis team was used for foreign affairs. Which helped soften tensions with the Cold War.
    This relates to key concept 8.1 because the Cold War competition expanded to other countries and since China is a communist country this helped America see passed that.

    This was when officers caught some men attempting to steal documents and wiretapping phones. The Committee to reelect the president had a slush fund that funded a lot of other illegal activities. Nixon tried hard to cover up the crime but cant so he resigned in 1974 before getting impeached.
    This relates to key concept 8.2 because this was a political scandal so the public's confidence and trust in the government declined.

    One of the first HIV/AIDS were reported from doctors in San Fransisco and about a hundred thousand HIV/AIDS cases were reported in the U.S. HIV/AIDS is still a huge public health challenge worldwide today.
    This relates to key concept 8.3 because people who mostly got HIV/AIDS went against the sexual norms of their parents' generation like gays and lesbians.
