This cure saved and influenced many lives. Polio is a disease in which the host becomes paralyzed from the waist down. Franklin D. Roosevelt had polio but due to the fact that television wasn't invented then he was able to hold himself as a prominent role and not have his paralysis influence his election and presidency. -

Martin Luther King Jr. Assassination
Martin Luther King was a revolutionary civil rights activist. He was an immensely important figure in advancing the push for human rights. He gave many important speeches and one of them being one of the most analyzed and recognized speeches of all time, titled "I Have a Dream". His life was unfortunately shortened by a bullet but he became a martyr for his cause.
