This is exposition/start of the story. Curzon and Isabel escape from being slaves for there Sargent Bellingham. They escape in a boat looking for there freedom. -
Rising action. Isabel and Curzon finally are somewhat free. But there was a slight disagreement in there plans. Isabel wanted to go find Ruth and Curzon didn't so they went there own ways. -
Rising action. Curzon runs in to a duel between a British solider and a patriot soldier(he just escaped from the British). The patriot reloads first and tries to shoot and gets a blank fire so now there in a reload battle to see whoever can reload first. The British guy reloads first and Curzon doesn't want him to find him so right before he shoots Curzon hits him in the shoulder with a rock and causes him to miss and the patriot shoots and kill him and wins. -
After curzon helps Eben they start to walk back to base together and as there walking they talk to each other to get to know each other more. -
when they get back to base Trumbull remembers curzon stealing from him. They get into a argument because Trumbull says hes a thief and curzon and Eben are saying hes not and hes a good man -
Eben and curzon go to the Sargent so they can try to get curzon inlisted as a soilder so he can fight in the war. they lie to him just to get it where he can inlist -
after Eben and curzon got done lying to the Sargent about curzon the Sargent believed them and let curzon become a soilder. -
After becoming a solider curzon goes into his first battle. Him and Eben stick together and they come out of the battle still alive. -
Bad snow weather starts to hit and they are forced to stop fighting and seek shelter. They make a camp at valley forge and do there best to survive threw the weather. -
While there at camp for the winter a really bad disease comes threw and its starts spreading like crazy. This ended up making it extremely difficult for them to survive. -
Shortly after the Sargent dies and they need a new one. when the new one arrives it ends up being Bellingham curzons previous owner. -
Bellingham takes curzon to court to try to get ownership of him again while curzons trying to be free. Bellingham won and was given ownership of curzon again -
Bellingham takes him back to his camp area and makes curzon work for him. Curzon is stuck doing anything that Bellingham tells him to do. -
As curzon was working he realized a voice from another room. He looks and he realizes its Isabel his old friend. They met up and curzon wants to escape already and isabel is unsure yet -
Curzon tries to come up with a plan for him and Isabel to escape. Isabel at first was trying to say she couldn't because of the metal collar on her neck that makes noise but he said he would come up with a way to get it off. -
Bellingham gets suspicious that there doing something. So he makes a new rule if curzon gets in trouble or makes a mistake then Isabel gets his punishments. he did this to try to stop them from escaping or disobeying. -
While Bellingham is getting a shower curzon takes his keys and makes a wake mold of them using a candle. After that they finish the rest of the escape and start to use it and try to escape. -
While there attempting there escape Bellingham confronts them because he knew the whole time. curzon tells Isabel to run while he deals with Bellingham -
Bellingham was going to shoot curzon but curzon relizes he never loaded the gun so curzon attacks him. They fight it out and bellingham is over top of curzon holding a knife to him. Bellingham was about to kill him when isabel hits him and knocks him out. -
They hurry up and tie Bellingham up and run for the horses. They try to escape so nobody will see them but they ended up running into there old army and they all escaped together
