The Vietnam War began in 1954. North Vietnam and Vietcong began fighting with South Vietnam and the US. This war was also called the "American War" and "War Against Americans to Save the Nation." The war ended on April 30, 1975. -

The AIDS epidemic began in the 1980s. It started as a virus that no one knew about. It was caused by alot of people using needles for drugs. It really began after the hippie movement.
