The 35th President of the United States was assassinated on November 22nd, 1963. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot in the head while he was traveling with Governor Connally and his wife. Integration of University of Alabama
The University of Alabama was ordered to admit African American students by a federal district court. Students Vivian Malone and James Hood were then allowed into the summer program that summer. Governor Wallace was totally against this but President Kennedy and his younger brother called for integration of the school. -
