The governor of Alabama, George Wallace, ends his blockade and allows two African-American students enroll at the University of Alabama. Although his promise to his white followers was "Segregation Now! Segregation Tomorrow! Segregation Forever!" he was forced to end his stance. He attempted his segregation another time but was again shut down by JFK. -
JFK Assasination
After driving through Dallas in an open convertible, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building. JFK was pronounced dead 30 minutes later at the age of 46. -
Robert Kennedy Assasination
After winning the California presidential primary senator Robert Kennedy was shot at the Ambassador hotel in LA. He was shot by a 22 year old Palestinian after announcing that the country was ready to end if fractious divisions. Robert Kennedy died later that day. -
