Florence Kelly tryed to prohibit child labor and limit the number of hours women could work. She said that the women and children and beaten and abused by the bosses or job. She wanted the laws because the women and children where getting hurt on the job. -

Jane Addams was trying to get rich people to be social. "we are bound to move to plip and fall." . Jane wanted to see the rich people interact with the poor people. -
Oregon legislature
Kelly helped the legislature helped pass the law for women. She help pass the laws all over. Also she let women work 10 hours a day. -
National Child Labor Committee
Kelly is trying to pass the law that the children will be not allowed to work in dangerous condutions . The law was put out there to sae the children and women. They where all trying to save the women and children. -

Daniel Burnham was a leader in a city plan. He was trying to be a good citizen. He was trying had a very high job. -
The Promise of American Life
Herbert Croly wanted the govnerment to send the poor people to get money. He was aurging with the govnerment and trying to lower taxs. He never got the govnerment to lower taxs. -
Working Conditions
Kelly knew the children in the huge factories would get hurt or kiled sometimes. The factory owners would take a bucket of cold water dump it on the workers to keep them awake. So the workers conditions would extremaly dangerous so the child and women would be hurt. -
Law Passed
In 1912 many states in the U.S. have passed the law. Also some states passed and tryed to get some other states to pass the law. But only 39 states pssed the law. Kelly was really happy that the law passed. -
Children in Bondage
George Creel wrote a book and called it "Children in Bondage". He wrote the book to show what Kelly was trying to do. Also to tel how the women and children where treated and how they lived.
