1642 Massachusetts Law
The first law passed that requires parents to provide education for their children. Children were to learn how to read well enough to understand religion and secular laws. -
A Teacher was Required by Law
A teacher was provided at a school to teach children to read and write. This assured the government that the children would be educated properly and consistently. -
First State Board of Education
America needed a unified State school system. There needs to be an overseeing agency to maintain educational standards. -
Public Law 85-926 Passed by Congress
This law allowed children with disabilities to receive the same educational opportunities as every other child. It was the first of many steps toward the inclusion of all disabilities a child may have and many additional services and programs. -
Meta-analysis from the U.S. Department of Education for K-12 Students
Virtual Education is in its infant stage. In the future, educational instruction will be 100% online. There will no longer be schools, just computer screens. The financial savings and reachability will outway the benefits of face to face instruction.
