Manitoba Act
Coming as a result of the red river rebellion, this event saw the creation of Manitoba as a province, as well as establishing it as bilingual. -

This is the 7th treaty signed, and it covers most of southern Alberta -
The Indian Act
A decision made by the Canadian government without consultation from First Nations people, The Indian act was an attempt to take away treaty rights that were promised to the Indigenous people of Canada. It contains the creation of indian agents, bands, and reserves. -
Treaty 6
The treaty that signed away the land that we are on today. Created with the same goal as the others, this treaty aimed to take away rights from and assimilate the First Nations people of Canada. -
Northwest Resistance
This event was another uprising by the Metis, this time about their future and rights in the future of Canada. -

This act gave funding to non-religious public schools supported by taxes. -

This act created a council of Métis people to choose land for the Métis to live on. -
