George Washington
George Washington was the first president of the United States, he served from 1789-1797, and took oath to be president on April 30, 1789. He was born February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland Virginia and was married to Martha Washington. Washington was a commander of the Continental Army, and died on December 14th, 1799. -
John Adams
John Adams was the 2nd president and first vice president of the United states. He was born on October 30, 1735 in the Providence of Massachusetts Bay. He served as president from March 4th, 1797 to March 4th, 1801. He was married to Abigail Adams and was part of the federalist party. Adams died July 4th, 1826. -
Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was the United states 3rd president, he served as president from March 4th, 1801 until March 4th, 1809. He was born on April 13, 1743 in Virginia. He was married to Martha Jefferson, wrote most of the Declaration of Independence, and his face is on the nickel (5 cent coin). Jefferson died July 4th, 1826. -
James Madison
James Madison was the United states 4th president, he served from March 4th, 1809 until March 4th, 1817. Madison was born in Port Conway Virginia on March 16, 1751. Madison wrote the first draft of the Constitution and died on June 28th, 1836.
