Dassey's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus is Granted
"Brendan Dassey's petition for writ of habeas corpus is granted by Federal Magistrate William Duffin. In a 91 page ruling, Duffin gave 90 days to Wisconsin prosecutors to decide whether they wanted to retry Brendan's case or release him. The ruling determined that Brendan's constitutional rights had been violated during questioning when investigators had made false promises." Source:

"In a 6 page decision, Judge Angela Sutkiewicz, from Sheboygan County, denies the motion for a new trial for Steven. The decision from Judge Sutkiewicz focused on the arguments regarding DNA evidence from the hood latch of Ms. Halbachs vehicle, her car key, and a bullet.
