The Temple of Apollo relates to our module on classical studies. I was attracted to not only the historic structure, but the gorgeous mountains as well. The temple along with the amazing view, in my opinion, can only be described as beautiful. -

The Head of a Roman Patrician relates to our module on classical studies. When I first saw this statue, my breath was taken away. The enormous amount of detail and how lifelike it is was beautiful to me. This statue proves beauty is not only found in perfection, but imperfection as well. -

The School of Athens relates to our module on philosophy. I chose this painting because of its looks and symbolism. Over time, this painting has come to symbolize the marriage between art, philosophy, and science. Because of this, I believe this piece is both beautiful and meaningful. -
The Tears of Saint Peter
The Tears of Saint Peter relates to our module on religion. I was drawn to this painting immediately as I saw Peter's eyes. When you look at them, you can feel the sorrow he feels. This gives the painting a melancholic charm that I think is beautiful. -
Shakespeare-Romeo & Juliet
Romeo and Juliet relates to our module on theatre. I chose this play over any other Shakespeare play because it is my favorite. Both main leads die because they didn't want to live in a world without the other, and that to me is so profoundly moving. I'd describe Romeo and Juliet's love as tragically beautiful. -
The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables
The Immaculate Conception of Los Venerables relates to our module on religion. This is another painting that drew me in because of its looks and symbolism. This painting was created to depict Virgin Mary's purity as the mother of Christ, and I believe the artist did a gorgeous job at showing that. The white dress pops in front of the dark background and makes her look angelic. -
Lyrical ballads-Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey.
Lyrical Ballads relates to our module on literature. I was interested in one of the poems in particular, "Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey". I thought this poem was beautiful because it highlights the joyous celebration of nature. -
Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre relates to our module on literature. This book caught my attention because despite it being an old book, the heroine is relatable even for a young woman my age. This book is beautiful because it depicts an accurate representation of a woman going through life, love, and struggles. -

The Sunday Afternoon on the island of La Grande is related to our module on art history. It captivated my attention because of its serene atmosphere. This paintings beauty lies in its enchanting scene of leisure and tranquility. -
The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower relates to our module on architecture. I chose this building because it has a feature that I am in love with. The Eiffel Tower sparkles with lights for 5 minutes at the beginning of each hour from dusk until 1am. For this reason, I believe the Eiffel Tower is beautiful. -
Peacock Vase
The peacock vase relates to our module on art history. The iridescent color and unusual shape is what drew me to this vase. It embodies the showiness and beauty of an actual peacock, and that’s why I believe it fits the theme “beauty”. -
Mont Sainte-Victoire
Mont Sainte-Victoire relates to our module on art history. I was drawn to this painting by the short brushstrokes along with the diversity of color. The varying shades of greens, blues, browns, and oranges come together to make a gorgeous landscape piece. For those reasons, I believe this painting is beautiful. -
Casa Batlló
Casa Batlló relates to our module on architecture. Just one glance at this gorgeous building and there’s no question as to why I chose to include it. The beautiful floral design and architecture that looks straight out of a fantasy film are why I believe this building is beautiful. -
The Rite of Spring
The Rite of Spring relates to our module on music appreciation. After listening and watching this ballet, I had to include it. Even without the visual performance, the music is captivating. It flip flops between dramatic upbeat music and something slower and softer. This combination creates something beautiful that keeps you interested the entire time. -
Cut With the Kitchen Knife
Cut with the kitchen knife relates to our module on visual arts. This collage peaked my interest because, like the title suggests, the pieces were cut out with a kitchen knife. Little did I know, the reason a kitchen knife was used was symbolic, as a way to represent stereotypical women’s roles in post-war Germany. I believe this piece is beautiful because of its artistic innovation, it’s social commentary, and it’s striking composition. -
Snow White
Snow White relates to our module on film. This movie has always been one of my favorite disney movies. It's a classic that can't be beat. From the heartfelt music, to the nostalgic animation, to the story, everything about this movie is beautiful in my opinion. -

Rashomon relates to our module on film. I was drawn to this movie because of its intense cover. The bright colors and intense expressions are captivating. I believe this film is beautiful because of its historic value as the first japanese film to receive significant international reception. -
Little Richard-Tutti Frutti
Tutti Frutti relates to our module on music appreciation. I chose this song because I really enjoyed it during class. It is a vibrant, upbeat song that could get even the most agitated person to get up and dance. Its lively tempo and enthusiastic delivery by singer little Richard makes it the type of song that can bring people together, and I think that's beautiful. -

Afghan girl relates to our module on visual arts. I chose this photograph because of the striking visuals made by the emerald color in her eyes and the background. The intensity in her eyes along with the contrasting orange and green colors in the photo are why I think it is beautiful. -
Toni Morrison-Beloved
Beloved is related to our module on history. I chose this book because Toni Morrison is seen as one of America's finest writers. Beloved is beautiful to me because it is based on a true story of an african-american slave named Margaret Garner. I think it's beautiful that her story was published so that we can experience what life was like through her eyes.
