The film maker will Read and analyze the script. -

The people working on the film will beakdown each speaking role into concise, descriptive profiles of that character. -
Step 3
Agents will be notifyed about roles which need to be cast -
Step 4
People will need to comb through files of actor pictures and CVs to find those actors who meet the breakdown descriptions and who have the training, talent, skills and appearance needed to fill each role required -
Step 5
Availbe actors who meet the breakdown descriptions will be contacted and auditions will be arranged -
Step 6
auditions will be held, possibly taping each actor's performance for later review by the casting director, producer and director -
Step 7
auditions will be reviewed -
Step 8
actors who make it through the first round of auditions will be told and arrange for "callback" auditions -
Step 9
Hold callback auditions, probably taping each actor's performance for later review by the casting director, producer and director. -
Step 10
The casting director will notiy actors who make it through the first round of callbacks and arrange for another callback audition -
Step 11
The process will be repeated until all the speaking roles are cast to everyone's satisfaction.
