First Field Hockey Stick
It is one of the oldest sports in history. They can range from a size of 36-38 inches long. It can weigh about 28ounces. The sticks are made from wood while fyberglass kevlar carbon and dyneema could be added to it. The shapes are shorti midi and hook. It is the most valuable piece in the field hockey equipment. It was first made from bamboo.

Second field hockey stick
The stick became flat on one side and round on the other. The stick was made out of just one piece of wood. -
First pair of shinpads
In the early 1900's the first pair of shinpads were invented. They were also used in the sport cricket. -
Third field hockey stick
In the 1960's and 1970's more material was allowed in creating new sticks. -
The fourth Stick
In the head of the stick (the part you hit the ball with) they started to make it smaller. -
The fifth stick that was PROHIBITED!
By the nineteen ninetys they started making the handles (the part you hold) with metal and it was prohibited. -
