The baby now measures about 46 cm long, and weighs as much as 5 pounds, the baby will continue to develop and accumulate fat. by this time the baby is kicking more and becoming more active. At this time the babys brain is developing quickly because it can now hear and see. And most of the internal systems are well developed except for the lungs that might be immature. -

By the end of the pregnancy the baby is still growing and developing. The lungs are nearly develope. The baby's reflexes are now better developed allowing him to blink, turn the head and grasp firmly. Also during this time the baby changes position to get itself ready for labour, it goes down into the pelvis and usually its head is facing down towards the birth canal. By the end of the 9th month the baby measures from 46-51 cm, and weighs about 7 pounds.
