Janet Barth set up the foundation of what the Ferdinand Library is today. -
Original Ferdinand Library Opens Doors
The first Ferdinand Library opens its doors in 1966 in the former Ferdinand Kindergarten building, presently known as the Tretter Center. -
2nd Library is Dedicated
Ferdinand Library moves into a newer and bigger facility on 10th Street. -
Ferdinand Library Joins County Library System
The Ferdinand Library Joins other branches in the county to for the Dubois County Contractual Library System. -
Library System's First Bookmobile.
The Dubois County Library System introduces the first bookmobile which delivered books to all branches and other locations around the county. -
Bond Issue Approved For New Facility

New Library Taking Shape
Construction begins on Ferdinand's new library. -
New Library Completed.
Construction of Ferdinand's newest library is completed. It woould open up to the public two months later. -
2nd Building Officially Closes
The 2nd building offically closes as staff prepares to move all equipment and materials to the new completed library. -
