Eleanor Roosevelt gave a speech at United Nations meeting which was titled "open Letter to women of the world". This speech urged women towards getting a job at United Nations. -

The UN declared its first dedicated decade for women. And the first women's world conference was held in Mexico. -
#MeToo movement
Women were tired of the stigma of women getting accused of being the reason they were getting raped or sexually assaulted, when it is only the rapists fault. They decided to stop the stigma and call out the men who sexually assaulted them or raped them. The #MeToo movement started on social media where women would comment on photos and post pictures with the caption #Metoo. This made other women feel more confident about speaking out because they felt less alone and finally understood. -
First Female Vice President
During the United States of America's 2020 Presidential Election, Kamala Harris became the first female vice president in the history of the United States.
