Alfred Deakin
Alfread Deakin was a lawyer and journalist before he became the Victorian Parliament in 1879. in the 1880's he was convinced that the colonies should federate. In the 1890's he had to convince victorians should support federation, he also was one of the people that helped right the constitution. -
South Australians were allowed to vote

Sir Samuel Griffths
Sir Samuel Griffith was premier of queensland. He supported federation and was the main author of the constitution at the Federal convention of 1897 and 1898. -

Sir Edmund Barton
Sir Edmund Barton helped write the draft of the constitution in 1891 and attednded all the federal conventions. He became first prime minister on 1st January 1901.
