The World Wide Web is created
Credited to Tim Berners-Lee, the idea was that a web of useful links would grow and deepen as people would create them in their daily lives. It was similar to an earlier program he was running that had combined networked hypertext with ideas that would later evolve into a type of web (website). Used today as an informational tool among lots of other things. -

The First SMS Text Message
An engineer named Neil Papworth sent a message to a friend that simply read MERRY CHRISTMAS. At the top of it's curve the US had sent over 2.3 billion sms text messages but this number has since slowed in growing due to app based messaging. Ultimately these apps have changed the way we communicate to this day. -
Windows becomes dominate
It was this year Windows '95 was created and released. This software solidified Microsoft in the work place as well as home staples. Microsoft at last had the foundation for what would become the modern desktop experience. -
The N64
The console was a major breakthrough in the gaming industry, allowing users to aim with precision and control like never before. This was due to the analog stick being included with the controls. -
GOOGLE is alive
Created by two programmers named Larry Page and Sergey Brin in a garage over the course of a couple years. They went on to develop what would be the world’s largest search engine of all time
