Popular fashions of the day included the bubble skirt, the pencil skirt, and the sack dress. But, the majority of women chose to dress themselves in New Look dresses because of the air of femininity that this type of dress lent to the wearer. The skirts could be multi-layered or they could be thick and embellished with designs (like poodle skirts). -
Fashion in the 1964
The "space look" he introduced in the spring of 1964 included trouser suits, goggles, box-shaped dresses with high skirts, and go-go boots. Go-go boots eventually became a staple of go-go girl fashion in the 1960s. The boots were defined by their fluorescent colors, shiny material, and sequins. -
Fashion in 1974
Skirts were quite full during 1974 and many were cut on a circle pattern or from panels which gave added circular swing fullness. Coats always had some trapeze line swing, even slim-fitting coats such as the yellow coat above had A-line flare and very few 1970s coats were straight apart from reversible wool coats. -

By 1994, fashion took a turn to more polished form-fitting styles. Popular mid '90s looks for women included tailored skirt and pantsuits, slip dresses, hot pants, and skirts in statin, metallic, sequin, and vinyl fabrics. Animal prints and bright colors were popular carryovers from the early 1990s. -

The early to mid 2010s witnessed a revival of grunge fashion in America with more of an "edgy" interest of denim ripped jeans and ripped jackets, flannels, animal print coats, printed t-shirts which were frequently color or stone faded, black combat boots, biker boots, and leather motorbike jackets. -
