Ancient Greek Fashion
500BCE was the time of the Greeks. The Ancient Greeks wore loose fitted clothing and both men and women wore sleeveless Tunics. For an average person the tunic colour was plain, however those with the financial resources had their clothing dyed in various colours. In the winter a heavy wool cloak was worn for warmth. Greeks went barefoot or wore sandals outside the home. Inside the home, they went barefoot. -

Mayan Fashion
The huipil is a garment worn as a blouse by Mayan women since ancient times. It is a square or rectangular piece of cloth with a hole in the center. The huipil is worn over a skirt which is tied with a woven belt. In the picture it shows that the skirt is woven and made up of different colours and patterns -

1500's Fashion
Although black was all the rage, the “little black dress” was long in coming for the dress trend of this century was large, heavy and stiff. With that said, let me introduce the Farthingale. The farthingale was a stiff bell shaped underskirt sewn with hoops made of wood to hold out the skirt which was not gathered at the waist thus accentuating the slimness of the body. -
1920's Fashion
It was probably the most daring Era of all for Women and Men. In 1920 women’s skirts rose scandalously to the knees, the hair was cut short in a boyish bob, and women shamelessly smoked and drank in public and defied the rigid social status that the early 1900 brought. -
1950's Fashion
The 1950’s was all about the Teenage Rebellion! The hair was ratted and flipped and white Keds tennis shoes or saddle shoes were worn. Some rebellious women wore tight fitting, calf length pants called pedal pushers, with blouses. -
1970's Fashion
The 1970’s was the Disco Era. Disco wasn’t just a type of music, but it was a type of lifestyle as well! The girls wore Miniskirts as the men wore Bell Bottoms. Lycra, Acrylic and Polyester were the materials and fabrics back then. The colours were loud and clashing making a statement that the 70's was the era of 'Saturday Night Fever.' -
1990's Fashion
The grunge look was prominent in the 1990s. This was highly influenced by the grunge music. Music groups popularized particular clothing that simply caught on. The grunge look was particularly followed in 1992. Teens loved to sport long hair and wore zany sneakers in a splash of colors such as forest green and red. Apart from the grunge look, the 90’s fashion clothing was also about short jackets that hugged the body. Trousers and cargos created a fashion trend. -
Ancient Egyptian Fashion
2000BCE was the time of the Egyptians. Ancient Egyptian fashion consisted of a variety of colours and different types of materials. The fashion was made for comfort this apparently did not mean that ancient Egyptians felt they should sacrifice beauty for comfort. -
Roman Fashion
800BCE was the Roman Era. The Romans were very creative if you like. They made their own makeup out of stuff that we wouldn’t think of using. Like snails guts. The women and men had lots of nice clothing that was handmade. The women’s clothing consisted of underwear made of loincloth, bras made of corsets, a tunic that was made from wool, or linen, a stola, ( also known as a robe), A toga that was a large piece of cloth that was draped over the stola.
