Guy meets Clarisse, a free spirited and inteligent 17 year old girl. She challenges the way he thinks and acts and makes him question why exactly he is a fireman. -

The old woman burns herself with her books
Guy is very confused when he goes to burn an old woman's book collection, but instead the woman chooses to be burned alive with her beloved literature. This causes conflict for Guy, because he is not used to seeing someone care that much about their belongings. -
