Fahrenheit 451 Montag's Rebellion

  • Mantag and Clarisse meet

    Montage is walking home from work one night. His neighbor Clarisse starts a conversation with him. From there on out, her precense makes him question many of his life choices.
  • Montag's wife overdoses

    When Montag gets home, he sees the empty sleeping pills bottle and sees his wife passed out. He realizes that she overdoses and calls an ambulance.
  • Montag finds out about Clarisse's death

    Mildred tells Montag that Clarisse died. Montag is upset inside. He begins to become curious about the world of books. He thinks about taking one home.
  • Monatg steals a book

    Montag is called onto the scene of a book burning. When taking care of the job, he subconciously takes a book. He shows his wife Millie who does not like the idea of having books in the house.
  • Mildred tells on Montag

    Montag refuses to return his books. Mildred can not take it anymore and tells Beatty on him. The firemen come and burn the books.
  • Montag consults Faber

    Montag does not know what to do. He consults Faber for advice. Faber helps him as best he can as he thinks he is a coward and does not want to get too involved.
  • Montag is on the run

    Montag is trying to esccape from the government. The try their best to stop him, but he manages to escspe and try to live as best he can.
  • Montag's life of no restraints

    Montag escapes to the countryside and meets up with other exiles. They teach him about the legendary phoenix and its ability to revive itself. It is an allusion to the cycle of man's mistakes.
  • Bombs away

    Bombs are dropped on the city incineration almost everyone inside. The shockwaves reach out to where Montag and the others are. It makes him wonder about the deciosions he made reguarding Mildred.
  • Fin

    In the aftermath, Montag and the others continue to collect books and make some sort of archives with them. The rest of their lives are lived out in in the rubble of the destroyed city.
