Richard Nixon was president from 1969-1973. He was almost impeached during his presidency for his scandal in the Watergate incident. -

The president was accused of participating in covering up the White House burglury. This happened in 1972, but was really brought about in the Spring of 1973. -

The Vietnam War was coming to an end. South Vietnam surrendered, but North Vietnam came and took over. President Ford ordered an immediate evacuation. United State helicopters carried people away. -
