    Radios: First Electronic Sounds I Heard
    The first exposure I had with any media that I am aware is when my grandfather open a radio. Still a toddler that time, I was amazed by how a simple machine produces sounds from other places. I can still recall the rich texture sounds coming from the radio as it play those classic songs.

    I've been listening to radios since then due to the fact that this is what we only have for the early years. In addition, my father prefer to listen to radios than to watch television. Though I started to listen to radios for only an hour or two, I've been listening to it often when I was in campus journalism.

    This year, I enter a DayCare Center to officially learn things in a classroom. This is also the first time I encounter a coloring book and been familiar with different colors. This coloring book I had was a coloring book prepared by the teacher.

    I first receive formal education by entering a DayCare Center in the central barangay of Sto.Tomas in Biñan and soon transferred to San Francisco where I live. While travelling from home to school, I first encounter different posters and banners used by many businness entities for marketing.

    With early interest in studying, I begin to learn things starting with ABC. As I recall, the first ABC learning material I had was the same material my older sisters had when they were also little.

    Poster, banners, and billboards scattered in different areas in our city. Biñan being an urban city, with lots of business entities established, I am encountering those often in my daily life. As years passed by, I was able to travel with different places, thus, seeing more of them in streets and roads.

    After DayCare, I immediately entered a formal elementary school. There, I first hold a textbook, a traditional media specifically a learning material that contains lessons and activities. The first textbook I had is a reading and writing textbook where we are taught about simple nouns and on how to write them.

    This year, we had an old version of television. The colors shown in the screen are still not saturated, and there are only few buttons to click. The television looks like a computer screen at that time.

    From elementary until this day that I am studying, we used different kinds of learning materials to understand a lesson. Most of the time, we used textbooks that varies from different fields and subjects (i.e. Mathematics, English, Filipino). We also used different kinds of papers such as notebooks to write what he have learned.

    Since then, watching television became a part of our lives. As a kid, I really enjoyed watching different cartoons in our television. As years passed by, our old television was replaced by a flat and larger LED screen television. We were also able to watch in a more saturated colors and more diverse films as technology get to developed through the years.

    I first read a newspaper when our teacher asked us to cut a strip from it for an activity. With curiosity arousing, I scanned the material and read some articles from it. Since then, I began to be interested in the information I acquired from reading them.

    The moment I entered fourth grade which is also the minimum grade level required in campus journalism, I was immediately asked by teachers if I am interested to join. With beginning to be socially and politically aware, I joined until this day with my last year in campus journalism. Through the years, I was exposed to different traditional media such as newspapers and radio. This is important materials because this is where we based our stand points.

    World became more advanced and most information were stored in world wide web. With limited information on hand, I began to access computers due to the fact that I need to have those information for my studies. For about a decade, I used to access computers and learn about it especially in highschool.

    Facebook is the first social media account that I had. I made one due to the fact the these kind of social media platforms where popular because of it making communication in farther places more convenient. However, I only accessed this platforms this year in computers because my cellphone was not advanced enough to have this kind of softwares.

    I had my first gadget, a cellphone, when my older sister got a new cellphone. Though it is not as advanced with what we have today, I used that cellphone only to communicate with my parents through text and calls most specially when I go to other places because of a contest I was attending.

    Since then, I used to have my cellphone with me. This is very important for everyone, not only because it is popular, but because we are now in the digital age where most of the information you need is stored in a device you can hold. Now, I am exposed more in using these gadgets because of new normal that brought education online and digital.

    Though there is postmail present even before, sending one is very inconvenient. The first mail that I sent to someone was electronic because it is way more convenient and faster. With a span of seconds or a minute, your mail was already received to whom it was sent to.

    This year, I had my first experience in a cinema. Cinemas are a media platform where films are being presented in a large screen. Though cinemas were already popular even with the previous years, having one will cost you a lot, thus, I only experienced it few times.
