    Leif Eriksson was a viking Exploror. Lief and his crew set sail to find the new land they had heard of. They countinude there journey untill finaly they had found the New Land. When they came ashore they started building houses. There were plenty of fish in the river. There would be no snow there so they wouldn't have to keep the materials they used to keep in winter. Leif Eriksson liked the land very much and later named it Vinland.

On his way he found the Cape of Storms but renamed it the Cape of Good Hope. In 1497 he accompined Vasco da Gama no a voyage to the Cape Verde islands. Later Dias's ship was in the middle of a storm and Dias dyed in the sea.
