Viking age
The Viking age started in around 800s (A.D) There were about 30 kingdoms in Norway. It was very hard to defeat them by land. But Vikings were very smart and had good battle strategies and started building long dark horse shaped boats. This was so that they could be practically invisible by raiding in the dark. They started plundering, looting, raiding and nobody expected it. -

The Vikings had now built a new community where everyone was treated properly and fairly, but the Viking age soon ended after 300 years when most Vikings switched to Christianity. They didn’t want to kill other people. But the people who stayed were soon killed when kingdoms developed new strategies and bigger boats that could carry more men. Marco Polo is a famous traveler and coloniser. He set out to reach China with his father. To reach that country he took the Silk Road. He was only 17 years old when he took these challenges. Once he reached China they took him to court when the ruler of China, Kublai Khan sponsored his trips around the world. -
