Founded by William Penn to become a place for quakers to live. Quakers were an unpopular group due to the fact they had many beliefs different from other religions. -

North carolina and south carolina serperates due to disputes with the Proprietors (guys who owned the state). -

The petition to colonize Georgia was aproved on 1732 and they finally settled there on Feb 12 1733. Georgia was also used to house some british criminals because of the lack of space.
