A game where a square avatar has to fight it's way through bats and dragons to retrieve a magical challice and return it to the gold castle. It was created by Warren Robinett, who conceived it as a graphical version of the text adventure game Colossal Cave Adventure. -
The birth of Mario
The game Donkey Kong was released the arcade world. It featured a character named Jumman. This character would later become Mario. -

By the time E.T was released, the video game market was already oversaturated with bad games. When E,T finally came out, after only five and a half weeks of development, it was the last straw. This game was so bad that it almost crashed the video game industry completely. -

Games like Skylanders and Disney's Infinity have players use figurines to help enrich gameplay. -
