Evolution of Video Games timeline

The Brown Box was the first prototype gaming console. This was the first time every one was introduced to a gaming console. It was made by Ralph. H Baer. This would the start of the gaming world.

Magnavox Odyssey was created in 1972, this would be first gaming console to actually be used in houses. They improved the gaming system between the years of 1972-1975. This console would influence the gaming consoles that we have today such as: Nintendo, PlayStation, and the Xbox.

In 1972 the gaming console Atari was created by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. The Atari consoles were improved throughout the years of 1972-93. One of the famous games that Atari had on their consoles is the famous game, Pong. The creators of Atari created the first Arcade game. They also created one of the first handheld consoles, which would influence the make of the Nintendo switch and the PSP.

The Nintendo consoles were introduced in the late 1970s. They were created in Japan and then made its way to the States. They have been improving their consoles since the 70s and have impacted the American Culture so much by introducing new games and consoles. They now have Wii and Nintendo switches which now you can play games on the go with high-definition picture quality. Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox would all be today's current popular competition.

PlayStation created their first console in the early 1990s. This video console as most of us know has grown widely over years. From the first PlayStation (PS One) to now we have the PlayStation 5. They have even created VR Headsets. You can also watch movies on the consoles and surf the Web.
To compete with the other competitors PlayStation was one of the first consoles to allow older version of games to be played on the updated versions of consoles.

The Xbox gaming console was introduced in 2001 releasing the first Xbox. This console was produced from Microsoft. Xbox had to compete with PlayStation and Nintendo. Much like PlayStation Xbox has been improving it consoles since the first Xbox. Now there Xbox one. Xbox can be inexpensive compared to the PlayStation. Such as PlayStation you can get on the internet and watch movies on the gaming consoles.
One of the biggest games produced from Xbox was the game Halo.
