Created by Ralph Henry Baer Pong was one of the first video games ever created and the first video game to be mas produced. Pong was a game where two people would be on opposite teams and each have paddle and move the paddles to make the other person miss the ball and you get a point -
Space Invaders
Video games started with pong when all you wanted to do was beat your friends but then Space Invaders entered the video game world when you would compete to get the high score laying this single player game. -
Pac-Man
Pac-Man started when a video game employee was dozing off looking at a pizza when he was very hungry. The pizza was missing two slices and it resembled a mouth he imagined the mouth gobbling everything up in sight and that is how this big hit of pac-man was created. -
Donkey Kong
It was created from a Nintendo employee needing to make a hit game when all of the games beside pac-man were only space shooters. So he decided to make a game about climbing ladders and jumping over barrels in order to get the princess back from an evil ape (Donkey Kong) -
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
E.T. was widely considered to be the worst game that ever was created. Before this game Atari was the most popular and most reliable gaming company This game was so bad that people decided to stop playing video game because they lost faith in the companies for coming out with such a bad game. -
Super Mario Bros
The entire video game industry was obsolete, nobody played video games after E.T. cam out and was so bad. Video game companies had produced more games and consoles in this time that no one played hoping that people would start playing again than they produced in the last 10 years. They needed something big. Then Nintendo came out with the game Super Mario bros. this game was about Mario needing to be the hero and save the princess. This game was also a hero by saving the video game industry. -
John Madden Football
Not many people played sports games at this time and then this game came out and changed how gamers thought of sports games forever. This game produced just past four million dollars with this game. There were few sports games out the only popular one was pong which was partially tennis other than that this was the biggest sports game of its time. -
Tetris
Nintendo had become the most popular game company of its time producing games like Super Mario Bros. Nintendo had everyone on peoples homes playing their video games but they wanted something that people could bring with them in their pockets to use in the back of the car or train or waiting rooms. so they came out with the Gameboy and they made this puzzle game called Tetris. -
Mortal Kombat
After the video game street fighters came out many companies wanted to be in on the fighting action. so they came out with Mortal Kombat which is still played today just more advanced. It is a game with two players that get to pick their characters and fight each other using special moves and power ups. -
Super Mario Kart
Nintendo already made the great idea of Super Mario Bros they wanted to make another big game and they wanted a racing game so that's what they made. This game was so popular that it is still being played today. -
Tomb Raider
People didn't really have any favorite video game companies at this time and companies needed to crack the code of what would get people to love their games. So Eidos made a game about cracking a code and it was a big hit. -
Dance Dance Revolution
The home PC and console gaming was so much more popular than arcades and people wouldn't go to arcades anymore. Until Dance Dance Revolution came out which brought arcades back into the gaming world. You could play by yourself, with friends, against friends, and in competitions. -
Grand Theft Auto III
This game is very controversial because some people love it because of the action and crime. Some people hate it for the same reason. This game has you start of poor and build your way up with stealing shooting and crime. -
Angry Birds
This game was so popular that it was sold more than Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Halo 3, Super Mario Bros WII, and Modern Warfare 2 all very popular games. This game was played on cell phones and people still play it today. -

This game is the most popular PC game ever created making billions of dollars with its creation. You are able to play it on PC, console, and even mobile. It took the Swedish programmer notch only six days to create this game. -

This game is based in the future with futuristic guns attachment and people. You can play with friends and by yourself being a big hit that made millions of dollars and blew threw the competition. -
Fortnite, Battle Royal
Released in 2017 Fortnite Battle Royal is a 100 player player vs player where you can play by yourself, with a partner, or with a squad. This game if you are playing solos you fight against 99 other players to eliminate each other and if you are the last man standing gets a #1 Victory Royal! It originated with a player vs everything where you would fight zombies but now you can fight against each other. It continues to come out with new weapons and game modes.
