    The Training for Juvenile Probation Officers was a workshop for probation officer to examine the problems (Children's Bureau (DHEW), 1962). The workshop discussed the role of the probation officer, contorlling a delinquent, administrative management, research on probabtion, and the specifics needed to be have effective performance (Children's Bureau (DHEW), 1962).

    In 1972 a training program was created for higher education personnel. The trainging was for highly qualified personnel who intend to be teachers, administrators, or educational specialists (Office of Education (DHEW), 1972). The training used a booklet and the program cost $4, 725, 000 (Office of Edcucation (DHEW), 1972).

    A new model for secondary schools came out. The training included a self-assessment and diversified training strategies (Haile, 1980).

    The Smithsonian Associates of Education and Culture held a seminar on contuninging education. The seminar included the use of schedules, evaluations, reading materials, and discussion (Smithsonian Associates Office of the Associate Director for Educational and Cultural Programs, 1990).

    In 2001 public school teacher participated in a professional development on state and curriculum performance standards. They discussed cultural diveristy backgrounds, assessments, classroom management, they used collaboration, and surveys (Parsad, Lewis, & Westat, 2001).
