    The book, Silent Spring was written by Rachel Carson. The book addressed the effect of pesticides on the environment.

    Written by Ralph Nader, Unsafe at Any Speed was a book discussing the safety issues of automobiles.

    The Environmental Protecton Agency was created to enforce laws that would conserve our environment. They can set standards for air and water quality.
