They also let out lots of heat even with large cooling systems. -

In the 1950s it was invented,this made it so they wouldn't need tubes and tubes were not cheap. -
The chip was invented
The chip was made of many transistors so that meant it would take up less space and be faster. -

In the 1970s the industries were more interested in computers which meant they bought alot of materials. -

It helped with the functions of the computer and it led to the idea of having personal computers. -

Steve Jobs (maker of apple) sold the first apple computer named Apple 2. Personal comptuers were available by then. -
