The DC-2 is introduced to Trans World Airlines
The DC-3 Was the first full metal plane that was made in america due to previos errors in wooden aircrafts. The plan was a double engined, 12 passenger plane. It was used in WWII by America, Austria, Germany, and Great Britain. Its engines had 690 horsepower and it had a very robust wing. -
The boing 314 Clipper was invernted
The clipper was just one of many large boat aircraft that could carry many passengers over long distances. It could also land and take off in water. -

This was the first real turbojet engine. It sucked in air by using the energy from gas turbines to spin the jet fans. The amount of air flowing into the jet was the same as amount as the air flowing around it.This aloud for a smoother and faster ride. -

The delta wing was a wing that was in a shape of a triangle and was usewd in the US military. It was tested and when used it gave the qirplane incredible speed and menueverability. This plane was a wide bodied, 4 engine, jet propelled, two story aircraft. It has been upgraded throughout the years and it is still in operation today. The main companies that use it today are British Airways, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, and KLM. -
The Concorde is in
The concord was the first commercial plane with the delta wing. It was capable of breaking the sound barrier. The supersonic aircraft had 20 crafts in the world and retired in 2003. It was too expensive and each was handmade so it had to be shut down. -

The boing 757 is a narrow bodied aircraft that only has two isles. There have been 1050 built and they are still in service. The main users are United airlines, Delta airlines, United airlines, and UPS airways. It is powered by two rolce royce engines and it has been upgraded throughout the year. -

The A380 is put into production
The A-380 is a wide bodied, double deck, 4 engined aircraft. It can hold up to 525 people and costs 389.9 million dollars. The cabin space is more open and larger. There are new technologies such as wifi on board and tv's for each seat. The navigation and computerized systems are incredible. This aircraft is used mainly for Emerites, Singapor Airlines, Lufthansa, Quantis.
