The Puritans vision for the new world was a "city set upon a hill". They wanted a perfect society, filled with religion and happiness. They worked for what they wanted, just like the people who achieve the american dream do.

Gives people basic freedoms. Free to do what they want. This will make it easier for people to achieve the american dream. -

The united states aquired most of the midwest. Gave americans more opportuinty. -
Manifest Destiny
Manifest Destiny was the belief that the united states had the right to move from the east to the west. This connects to the american dream because it gave the people a chance at a new life and way to start living.

Abraham Lincoln- Prosepering of Industry
Abraham Lincoln was one of our greatest presidents. He helped to end slavery, and get us through one of the hardest times in our economy. What Abraham Lincoln did connects to the american dream because he gave african americans a chance in life, whichh created competition amongst whites.

Chaanged the entertainment industry. May have given americans a new way of looking at life and how they can achieve their dreams.
