  • Roberts v. City of Boston

    Roberts v. City of Boston
This event made a impact on education with Roberts. It stands out when it is about a five year old girl who had to walk past five elementary schools to get to hers, when she simply could attend the one closest to her house. With the color of her skin not being accepted is a whole other meaning of "separate but equal" for education. In education everyone should be equal and everyone should be given the same opportunities.
  • Plessy v. Ferguson

    Plessy v. Ferguson
With Plessy being jailed for sitting in a "white" car is something that would not happen today. If these historical events would have never occurred for changes to be made, who knows what the world would be like today with segregation. This case is something that people should not have to go through even though back then this is how it was.
  • Cummings v. Richmond County Board of Education

Cummings v. Richmond County Board of Education
The way this historical event has changed education is nothing but for the better. In 1899 when segregation was a way larger issue than it is now, kids could not get a proper education. The way the Richmond County school board closed a high school to better other kids was very unfair. All children deserve the same equal education and with this issue going to the court made a impact on equal educational opportunities.
  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
Education today would not be the way it is if this issue never went to the Board. Segergation back in 1954 was very unfair. The way education is today, anyone is welcome in school no matter your skin type. With this issue of African American children not being able to attend a school where white children go had a dramatic effect on society. If the family had never spoken up this wouldn't be such a unforgettable historical event.
  • Evolution of technology in the classroom

Evolution of technology in the classroom
In todays society, this event seems to be very relevant because of how much use of technology is in the classroom. It is not very uncommon to see a tablet or device in a classroom. Most teachers and students depend on technology to help them in many ways they can. Technology has developed so tests are online, projects are online and even reading assignments. In 2013 "90% of students under the age of 18 have access to mobile technology."
