Before the English came the mayans,who created BALL in before 1600 BCE.As I know the use to make their ball out of pure rubber boughten from the forests. They played this game in a court made of stone and pebbles. -

England

The greeks created olympics that included soccer the most popular sport in greece followed by basketball. These sports are very common but very famous.In the the greece they played soccer in stadium and not in a stone and pebble court. -

DID THE ROMANS ????
The traditional games organised by the sport association GAZ, have been going on since 2005.In 1968 in a small village near Gardun Trilj, a Roman tomb with a picture of a boy holding a ball was discovered. The International Football Association FIFA acknowledged this to be the first artifact of the game in the world. -

HAVE THE AZTECS EVOLVED IT MORE ????
The Aztec ball game had a distinctive court known as the tlachtli or tlachco.The ball court was usually in the shape of an I, although there were some variations. They started making hoops and called it the ‘SOPHOMORE’ which in my opinion is very innovative.They played this without legs. -

We now play soccer in huge stadiums with audience and goal posts.We play soccer now with are legs not like the Aztecs who didn’t use their legs. -
